The Arizona Department of Public Safety's state crime lab is reducing turnaround times for analysis.
According to officials, the goal is to increase efficiency and help law enforcement prosecute cases quicker. Blood alcohol analysis results are now available in half the time, only 15 days compared to 30 days.There is currently no backlog, officials said.

Toxicology testing now takes less than two months than the normal six to nine-month time frame.
Meanwhile, latent print evidence can be completed in 30 to 60 days.
The state crime lab is pleased with the progress and hopes to continue improvements.
