According to the Tucson Fire Department's Facebook page, the woman was swept away just after 2 a.m. Tuesday. Fire crews were able to cut the bars to free the woman and pull her to safety. Luckily, she was not hurt.
Fire officials say storm drains are designed for water, but pose serious safety risks to people. The community is being urged to use caution, especially due to water levels rising without warning.
