Tucson Police are responding to a shooting at Tucson Medical Center that happened just before 9:15 Tuesday night.
The shooting reportedly happened in the parking garage. The hospital was on lockdown as police investigated.
Officers located a 25-year-old female victim with obvious signs of gunshot trauma.
Paramedics transported the woman to a local hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
Invetigators determined that just before 9:15 the woman returned to her vehicle in the northeast parking garage to go home for the evening.
While she was in the passenger seat an unknown male approached her, tapped her on the shoulder and then shot her.
The suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years of age. he is approximately 5'5" and 165 pounds with a thin build. He has a dark beard and is bald.
He was last seen wearing a white athletic jersey and dark pants.
