Rico, a Pima County Sheriff's Department K9, received bullet and stab-protective body armor thanks to a donation.
According to the department, the $65,825 for the armor came from an Ohio-based online fundraiser "Help Officer Hickey Vest K9s," in which a retired officer raised enough money to buy armor for 62 law enforcement dogs.
