TUCSON, Ariz. - The Sears at Tucson Mall will close by April.
According to a statement from a Sears spokesman, the store will close by mid-April.
Sears began a liquidation sale this week.
"After careful review, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Sears store in Tucson, Arizona," the statement said. "The liquidation sale begins this week and the store is planned to close in mid-April. We encourage customers to continue shopping on Sears.com for all their product needs."
The closure will leave Tucson without a Sears department store. The Park Place Sears closed in 2018 and was replaced by Round 1 Entertainment.
Sears has not announced plans to close the Sears Home Appliance Showroom at 3951 W. Costco Drive.
