TUCSON, Ariz. — The search continues for a missing woman with down syndrome. Sarah Galloway has been missing for six days now.

As the search continues, recent reports say Sarah has a fear of law enforcement.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department can't confirm that but told KGUN9 they're using every resource they have including the help of the community to find her.

“We do thank the community at large for their concern and for any tips we might have gotten for finding where Sarah is,” said PCSD's Deputy James Allerton.

The department says they are investigating every single tip. Crews have searched over 500 properties in the area where Sarah was last seen.

But they aren't the only ones looking. Volunteers in her community have been searching since she went missing on Thursday morning.

“I can’t say enough about it. Everybody stepping up everybody's come in donations volunteers. It's been really humbling about how close this community is and how much we really care about getting Sarah home,” said Don Aldwadley, a volunteer helping the search.

Volunteers are using people on foot on horses and even drones. They say there's a lot of rumors and assumptions about what happened but they're not worried about the drama.

They just want Sarah home.

If you have seen Sarah Galloway or have any information about her whereabouts or disappearance, you are urged to call 9-1-1 immediately.
