TUCSON, Ariz. — Santa Rita High School celebrated the brand new CTE Dental Assistant and Diesel Engine Repair programs.
The two programs will provide hands-on experience for students with real dental labs and repairs sites.
Pima County Superintendent Dustin Williams says "The statistics alone, when student gets engaged in cte, for graduation rates is incredible. It jumps almost by 15 percent. A typical student will graduate around 79 call it 78 percent. When they get into CTE it goes to about 95 even 98 percent."
The idea for these programs came about fours ago, and Thursday students, parents and staff members took a tour of two new facilities.
