TUCSON, Ariz. — The Salvation Army Tucson is distributing toys this weekend to local families who need a little extra help this holiday season.
Salvation Army will be giving away toys December 19, 20, and 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 2717 S 6th Avenue.
They have nearly 1,500 families and approximately 4,000 kids sign up for the toy give away.
Salvation Army Tucson City Coordination Ellen Oh said "I'm getting so many emails from you know moms asking for, seeking for, help because they lost a job recently and then they can't afford to buy toys for their children."
They say they are especially in need of toys for boys ages 6 to 8 like soccer balls, or footballs.
Anyone can drop off a donation at the Hospitality House, 1002 N. Main Avenue.
