TUCSON, Ariz. — Some sailors gave students at Erickson Elementary School a meteorology lesson Monday as part of navy week in Tucson.
One of the presenters tells us the kids really enjoy checking out the equipment and instruments used for meteorology and oceanography.
Aerographer's Mate First Class Jordan Risner said "We get to interact with the kids and provide some information, and answer all their questions, and show them some new things, and promote stem education, and so we're proud to be here and we really enjoy doing these types of things."
This week navy personnel will be all over our community making stops at other schools the Boys and Girls Club and marching in the rodeo parade.
