The Sahuarita Police Department is making sure their residents are safe and up to date with information about their city.
The department is encouraging residents to use a website that provides essential information in a timely manner.
Nixle.com provides up-to-date information to residents on everything from roadway closures to more significant events that concern public safety. These events might include an active shooter scenario, a fire, a flood or any other emergency type situation.
SPD is asking that community members log into nixle.com and enter their zip code. This will allow people to receive automatic alerts from SPD.
How to sign up:
- When on the Nixle site, make sure to scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and you will see a Town of Sahuarita link to click.
Enabling this option will allow them to contact you via cell phone message with alerts from SPD and Pima County at any time of day.
Nixle alerts may direct users via the link to the SPD web page, SPD Facebook or the SPD Twitter account for information that is more detailed.
