Remains of woman still unidentified

Posted

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office still is trying to identify the remains of a woman found at a worksite in Chandler last week.

They say deputies were contacted Thursday night by employees at Grand Materials who believed they had discovered human remains.

Deputies arrived on the scene, secured the area and contacted their homicide unit to assume the investigation.

The county medical examiner's office determined the remains were human, but there's no word about how the woman died.

Sheriff's officials say the remains appear to be that of a woman who was between 20 and 45 years old and was 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 in height.

She was wearing sweat pants and a tank top when found.

The sheriff's office is asking for help from the public to identify the woman.
