TUCSON, Ariz. — A rancher discovered human remains in a rural area of Tucson's south side Wednesday morning, and now police are investigating.
According to a news release from the Tucson Police Department, a ranch employee called 911 just before 9:30 a.m. after finding the remains near the 12900 block of South Old Nogales Highway.
Responding officers called in detectives from the department's gang unit for assistance. Investigators from the Pima County Medical Examiner office were also called to the scene. They determined the remains were that of an adult male.
Police say anyone with information about the incident can anonymously report a tip to law enforcement by calling 88-CRIME.
