TUCSON, Ariz. - Northwest side fans of chicken fingers will be looking forward to October.

That's when Raising Cane's will open its third location, at 4225 N. Oracle Road.

Pima County confirmed plans for the restaurant in March.

The company announced Thursday that it broke ground on the location. Once the restaurant opens, it will be the chain's 21st in the state and 477th total. The Baton Rouge, La.-based restaurant chain specializes in chicken fingers.

Raising Cane's is looking to hire 75 employees.

“We are excited to commence construction on our third Tucson location and look forward to giving Caniacs in the area another Raising Cane’s where they can get their chicken finger fix,” said Raising Cane's Regional Leader of Restaurants Jason Zwerin, in a statement. “We will soon begin assembling a crew to join us in sharing our 'One Love' with everyone in the area and look forward to getting involved with the community.”

Raising Cane's opened its first Tucson location in November 2015 at 6352 E. Broadway. It also plans to open a 3,760 square foot restaurant at 2604 E. Speedway, the former home of Speedway Self Serve gas station.
