Pond at Agua Caliente Park renovated, dedicated

Posted

Tucson is known for having beautiful recreation areas, and one of them is now an even better place for people and wildlife to enjoy.

One of the ponds at Agua Caliente Park near Soldier Trail and Roger was dedicated today.

It opened after years of renovation to reduce water being lost through drought and overpumping due to increased development in the area.

Another pond at the park is expected to be completed in a few years.

The park is enjoyed by well over 150,000 visitors per year and is a historic feature included on the National Register of Historic Places.
