TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened near the east side Sunday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Roman Serna.
Serna died due to his injuries early Monday morning.
TPD says they responded to a 911 call near the area of 7300 block of East Marigold Circle around 2:30 p.m.
Upon arrival officers saw Serna with obvious signs of gun shot trauma.
Tucson Fire took Serna to Banner University Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
Officials say Serna was visiting a friend at the home, the friend was showing Serna a loaded gun when the gun discharged.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 88-CRIME.
