The Tucson Police Department responded to a shooting on Sunday night.
The shooting occurred on Sunday July, 24 around 11:52 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 7400 block of East 22nd Street.
Two male victims were located with gunshot wounds.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. He's been identified as 34-year-old Michael Espinoza.
The second victim was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries where he was pronounced dead.
He has been identified as 30-year-old Mark Espinoza, brother of Michael Espinoza. Next of kin has been notified.
While on the scene, an adult male contacted officers and told officers he was involved.
Incident is still under investigation.
According to TPD, Michael and Mark were part of a group involved in a verbal confrontation with another man. That confrontation soon turned physical. During the physical altercation, shots were fired, and Michael and Mark were shot.
