PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police have made an arrest in a March homicide in which the victim reportedly was shot for merely looking at another man stopped at a red light.

Police arrested 30-year-old Nicolas Elliott Thursday on suspicion of murder and other crimes in the killing of 26-year-old Alex Mixon.

Police said Mixon was shot after leaving the intersection and he then crashed his pickup.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson said there's no indication the men argued or exchanged words before the shooting.

Detectives located witnesses who either said they were with Elliott at the time or that he later bragged about what he'd done.

Elliott was jailed in lieu of $1 million bond.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Elliott who could comment on the allegations.
