Tucson police are investigating a homicide that happened early Sunday morning near South Craycroft and East 22nd Street, according to Sgt. Kimberly Bay, spokeswoman for the department.
Bay says shortly after 1 a.m. officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the 5600 block of East 26th Street.
As officers arrived, they located three adult men with obvious signs of gunshot trauma.
Two men involved were brothers and had known the third male for a long period of time.
One of the brothers was roommates with the third man.
The other brother, who does not live at the home, has been identified as 23-year-old Ryan Johnson.
The three men were talking outside the house when their conversation turned into a physical altercation.
Johnson pulled out a handgun and shot his brother and the other male. The other male went inside his home and retrieved his gun.
A short time later, Johnson forced his way into the home still armed with a gun and the other man shot Johnson multiple times.
Johnson was pronounced dead on scene.
The two other men were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME.
