Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning near Speedway and 11th Avenue.
According to Sgt. Pete Dugan, officers responded around 1:30 a.m. to reports of an injured man on the ground. When officers arrived and located the man, he was unresponsive with signs of sharp force trauma.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives have since learned that the incident took place at an apartment complex located at 301 W. Helen St.
There are no suspects in custody at this time.
