The University of Arizona Police Department is investigating an assault that occurred on-campus near the Highland Tunnel Friday.
Police say an 18-year-old man was walking near the tunnel when he was hit by one of the suspects and fell to the ground. One suspect straddled the victim while the other suspect searched the victim for valuables.
UAPD says the victim was able to hit the suspect on top of him, which resulted in both suspects leaving the area toward the Highland Garage. The victim experienced minor injuries to his wrist but was not transported to the hospital.
UAPD released the following descriptions of the suspects:
Suspect 1: Male, possibly Hispanic, slender build, 18-22 years of age, brown short hair, with a possible facial tattoo, wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts 110-130 pounds.
Suspect 2: Male, possibly Caucasian, slender build, 18-22 years of age, short red hair, navy blue jacket and unknown colored shirt, pants or shorts.
