Tucson police arrested three armed suspects who robbed a midtown bank Friday morning.
According to Sgt. Pete Dugan, three armed suspects robbed Commerce Bank at 3805 E. Broadway at 9:51 a.m. They left in a vehicle that officers followed as it crashed into another vehicle.
The suspects ran away. Officers detained one of the suspects -- who suffered minor injuries -- and found the other two hiding out in a nearby neighborhood. A police dog bit one of the suspects.
Southbound Alvernon was shut down at 5th Street. Northbound Alvernon were restricted as well.
