TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson police arrested a suspect connected to a Sunday domestic violence-related killing.

Police say the homicide happened in the 2400 block of South Holly Stravenue. Officers were called to the home around 8 p.m for a domestic-violence related incident involving a knife. Sgt. Pete Dugan says the 911 call was placed by a teenager who was in the home at the time.

TPD says when officers arrived, they found a man inside the home. He was immediately detained. Officers began searching the rest of the home when they found a woman outside with what appeared to be stab wounds and cuts. Police started to perform CPR on her before Tucson Fire arrived on scene. She was then taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.

Homicide detectives say it appears the woman was stabbed by her brother but do not know what led up to it. The man who was detained was then arrested. His name has not been released.

Dugan says at least four people live at the home, including the teenager who called 911, the suspect and the victim. The preliminary investigation shows Tucson Police have been called to the home before for domestic violence incidents.

Police say they will release additional details Monday.
