Tucson police arrested a man they say committed an armed robbery against a bicyclist.
Police say Christopher Higgins, 34, and another man wore masks when they entered Arizona Cyclist at 5350 E. Broadway. They declared they were robbing the store, used pepper spray at three employees behind the counter and stole two electric bicycles, worth $5,000 each.
Police say Higgins used a knife to rob Kay Jewelers at Park Place earlier in the year. Police arrested Higgins near 29th and Craycroft, where he was driving a stolen vehicle.
Higgins was booked into Pima County Jail on charges including armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and unlawful use of a means of transportation. He is being held on bonds of $5,000 and $50,000.
Police are looking for Higgins' associate, a 5-10 black man between 200 and 230 pounds.
