TUCSON, Ariz. - A local jail will soon be featured on a national TV program.
The show "60 Days In" on A&E puts seven undercover operatives in a local jail to see the inner workings of law enforcement facilities and the criminal justice system. An upcoming episode will feature the Pinal County Adult Detention Center.
According to a press release from the TV network, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb booked a police officer, a private investigator, an "ex-Latin King turned minister" and several others into the jail and gave each of them a mission to uncover problems in the jail and evoke change.
"Throughout their time in jail, the participants faced growing suspicions and violent threats, but they were deeply committed to fulfilling their missions," the network said of the episode in a press release.
The episode is set to air on Jan. 3.
