TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima County Attorney Barbara LaWall has announced her retirement, which will be at the end of her 6th term, December 31, 2020.
In a statement, Barbara LaWall said "I want to thank the voters of Pima County who have repeatedly put their faith in me and elected me to office six times. Serving the people of Pima County as County Attorney is an absolute privilege and has been the highest honor of my life. "
LaWall added that delivering justice to the people of Pima County has been a rich experience.
LaWall says she is proud of her legacy of the many innovative crime prevention, and public outreach programs her office has created and implemented.
She says she is looking forward to retirement, and will spend more time with her family, grandsons and friends.
