PCSD: One person dead after a shooting south of Tucson airport

TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating a deadly shooting Saturday south of the Tucson International Airport.

PCSD said the incident happened today around 11:40 a.m. near 5800 block of East Blackbrush Road.

Upon arrival deputies found the victim identified as 33-year-old Jose Estrada with a gunshot wound.

Estrada was pronounced dead at the scene, according to PCSD.

Detectives continued the investigation and identified the suspect as 33-year-old Elsa Madonia.

Madonia was arrested and booked.

She is facing charges for second-degree murder, according to deputies.

The investigation is still ongoing.
