Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department are investigating a deputy-involved shooting in the 4400 block of West Irvington Road.
Deputy Cody Gress says 26-year-old Jose Silva was shot in the arm and has been taken to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Gress says two deputies were involved in the shooting, neither are injured.
At 10:40 a.m. deputies responded to a call in the area which they deemed a domestic violence issue.
About an hour later deputies were leaving the area when they noticed a vehicle matching a suspect's vehicle description.

Deputies then initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle took off and a car chase began.
Silva then ditched the vehicle and started to run away and shot at the two deputies chasing him.
During this time a deputy fired back and hit Silva at least once in the shoulder. He is in the hospital at this time and is expected to survive.
