TUCSON, Ariz. — Two women are in custody after deputies found nearly $600,000 of drugs in their car just outside of Tucson Wednesday morning, the Pima County Sheriff's Department says.

It happened during a traffic stop near Ajo Highway and South Camino De Oeste. PCSD says a K-9 alerted to drugs in the vehicle. After a search, deputies discovered around 87,000 counterfeit oxycodone pills -- about 21 pounds -- and about 13 pounds of cocaine.

In total, PCSD says the drugs were worth about $685,000.

Police say they arrested two women in connection with the bust -- 45-year-old Veronica Jacquez and 23-year-old Odalis Leyva. They're both charged with possession of a narcotic drug for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
