TUCSON, Ariz. - Pima County Sheriff's Department arrested a student for making a threat against Tortolita Middle School on Tuesday afternoon.
An adult informed the school administration about a student threatening to "shoot up the school."
Administration contacted Pima County Sheriff's Department to report the incident.
PCSD conducted an investigation with the school and determined there was no threat to the school. The student was arrested. The student will not be returning to Tortolita Middle School this year
Tortolita Middle School Principal Rex Scott says "The safety and well-being of your children is always foremost in our minds."
The incident will not effect tomorrow's school schedule.
