PACC rescues 100 animals from Three Points home

UPDATE: The Pima County Sheriff's Department arrested two women on June 28. According to PCSD, 45-year-old Irma LeChuga and 41-year-old Melanie Parra are facing the following charges: child abuse felony charges, animal cruelty charges and possession of wildlife.


Pima Animal Care Center officials rescued more than 100 animals from a Three Points home as part of a joint operation with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

There were 40 dogs, 50 chickens and roosters, 10 potbelly pigs, a ferret and a snake at the home.

If deemed healthy, the dogs will be available for adoption or foster care.
