UPDATE: TFD finds one man outside, one inside burning home; 3 dogs, 1 cat dead

UPDATE: (3 p.m., July 5)

Tucson Fire reported via email that one of the victims of the overnight fire in the 7200 block of East Toronto Street, a male, was found outside the home, attempting to put out the fire with a garden hose. He was transported to Banner Health University with burn injuries.

The second victim, also male, was found inside the home.

In addition to the dogs, a cat also died.

An overnight house fire on Tucson's east side left three dogs dead and sent two people to the hospital.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 7200 block of East Toronto Street, near South Kolb Road and East Stella Road at just before 1 a.m.

A total of thirty-three firefighters helped get the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
