TUCSON, Ariz. — Everyone is safe after a mobile home caught fire on Tucson's Northwest side Monday evening.

It happened just before 8:30 p.m. at a home in the 3400 block of Flowing Wells Road.

Neighbors told 911 smoke and flames were coming from the home but the person who lived there wasn't coming out.

Before crews arrived, they learned the resident got out safely on her own.

Crews got to the home at 8:31 p.m. and immediately started to extinguish the flames with a hose.

It took them 12 minutes to get the flames under control. The crews did a visual check of the home and also used thermal cameras to make sure all hot spots were out.

Red cross went to the home to help the displaced resident.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
