A northwest side library is previewing a major renovation and expansion.

The Flowing Wells Library, at 1730 W. Wetmore, which opened in 2008, will close Oct. 1. The 5,000 square foot facility will excand to 13,000 square feet, KGUN9's Carlos Herrera reports.
Officials will show off the expansion plans to the public at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Elle Towne Flowing Wells Community Center, 1660 W. Ruthrauff, but gave KGUN9 an exclusive early peak at the plans Thursday morning.
Upgrades will include new study rooms, computers, an outdoor patio with WiFi, a family restroom, new furniture and an updated collection.
