TUCSON, Ariz. — The brand new playground at Reid Park is now open.
There was a grand opening for the park Friday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m.
There are a couple of different play areas designed for different age groups.

The new playground has a couple of different plays areas designed for different age groups.
It also has features that make it accessible for children with disabilities.

Mayor of Tucson Jonathan Rothschild says "If your child is differently-abled, or if you're an older person it has accessible ramps and safe swings and its all part of our big park improvement project."
The project was paid for by impact fees. Those are funds collected from builders when a new neighborhood or development goes in.
