Tucson Police announced Saturday that charges were filed on September 14 in the murders of Isabel Celis and Maribel Gonzales.
Christopher Clements, 36, faces 22 charges in relation to the disappearance and murders of the young girls.
Celis family neighbors on the eastside say the latest development in the years-long case gives them a sense of relief, but not quite closure.
Ashley Toth remembers how scared she and her roommate were right after the 6-year-old went missing in 2012.
"We were scared. My roommate got an alarm system hooked up, almost... I think within a week or two after that. Just because we were nervous, you know, having a little girl living in the home. Of course it made us all paranoid. Everyone in the neighborhood I think was pretty nervous, especially people who have children in the home," Toth said.
