TUCSON, Ariz. — Perfect weather conditions on Monday kept Catalina Highway open, with around two feet of snow on the slopes of Mt. Lemmon Ski Valley.
Ski Valley opened on Saturday with 20 to 30 inches of snow, but the road remained closed to the public.
After learning Catalina Hwy. was open, skiers and snowboarders slid down the slopes all day. It's the second day Ski Valley has been open for the season, and finding a place to park may be the most challenging part.
I love seeing these snow covered trees! ❄️ 🌲 Ski Valley is open and so is Catalina Highway 🎿 pic.twitter.com/Watqu6PFB5

Mt. Lemmon's Cookie Cabin opened up for the first time in about a week, according to a store manager. It wasn't a surprise when the line stretched out the door Monday afternoon.
