TUCSON, Ariz. — As the snow pack dwindles in the Catalinas, Mt. Lemmon's Ski Valley says it's closed for the season.
The ski resort broke the news on Twitter Tuesday morning.
Unfortunately with the warmer weather we will be done skiing for now. Thank you all for a great ski season and hope to see you again next year!! ⛷

Ski Valley says it needs at least 18 inches of snow on the ground to open -- a bar it didn't hit in the last two winters. This year, the mountain saw several major snow storms that kept skiers and snowboarders coming back for weeks, and was a boon for businesses on the mountain.
