TUCSON, Ariz. -- The road to Mount Lemmon reopened Friday to vehicles with four-wheel drive and chains.
According to the Pima County Road Condition Hotline, the Sheriff's Department closed the road around 2 a.m. Friday. The road reopened by 9:30 a.m.
Pima County Sheriff's Department says "The road to Mt. Lemmon remains closed at the base, due to inclement weather."
The restrictions come as showers sweep across southern Arizona as part of a cold front.
