A celebration was held at Grijalva Park in the Midvale Park neighborhood on at 10 a.m. Saturday morning for the installation of a new lighting infrastructure on Oak Tree Drive.
The 18 newly installed street lights were funded through the voter-approved Pima County Neighborhood Reinvestment Program and the City of Tucson.
For 13 years, residents driving on Oak Tree Drive have been dealing with a half-lit street.
This new addition to the neighborhood will increase visibility and enhance safety for community members.
