A water main break is closing part of Glenn Street for about a week in Midtown.
A Tucson Water Department spokesperson says the waiter main break happened Saturday evening on Glenn and Sydney, just West of Craycroft. The area, even after 48 hours, is still a mess. Glenn between Woodland and Sidney remains closed.
Crews stopped the water form gushing Saturday evening, but the reclaimed water main break has not been replaced. Tucson Water crews will be inspecting it Monday morning and expect the repairs to take up to a week.
Meanwhile, those who drive through the area are bring detoured around Sidney and Woodland. However, drivers are advised to avoid the area as much as they can. They can take Fort Lowell or Grant instead.
