Police in Mesa have identified a man arrested in a fatal stabbing last weekend.
They say 34-year-old Dwain Ward is jailed in connection with the death.
Police say 21-year-old Alex Delgado was stabbed during an argument with another man he encountered on the street.
Court records released Monday show investigators found blood at the scene along with Delgado's hat and shoe.
Police say Ward allegedly admitted to being at the scene of the stabbing around 6 a.m. Saturday.
They say Delgado was found at the scene with a stab wound on his neck.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Witnesses told police that Ward and Delgado didn't know each other.
It was unclear Monday if Ward has legal representation yet.
