U.S. Marshals arrested a man who was convicted of murder in Tucson and escaped tracking by removing his GPS bracelet.
According to the agency, Marshals arrested 45-year-old Naomis A. Winfrey.
Winfrey had a warrant out for his arrest for a parole violation from the 1993 murder conviction. He was also convicted of second-degree burglary and theft.
The U.S. Marshals Service Task Force tracked him down in Phoenix, at an apartment near 23rd and Glenrosa Avenues. He was riding in a vehicle driven by a woman.
