MARANA, Ariz. — Marana Cares Mobile is returning to town May 28- July 26!
The refurbished mobile unit is offers free meals to children over summer break, better preparing them to return to school ready to learn.
“Marana Cares Mobile allows us to give more back to our community by doing what is the very best for children. Nutrition is critical to a child's ability to learn and be successful. This service allows us to meet those needs during times when students are not at school so they are better prepared to return to school ready to learn,” superintendent Dr. Doug Wilson said.
Marana Cares Mobile has served 7,541 meals to date, the district said in a press release.
This summer, it will be set up at two locations:
- 11:00AM-12:00PM
Sandario Road and Anthony Road (southeast corner next to the Marana Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness Church)
- 12:30-1:30PM
6560 W. El Tiro Road (at the Marana Domestic Water Improvement District).
