TUCSON, Ariz. - A man who allegedly assaulted a University of Arizona police officer in October avoided prison time.
Ivar Lortz-Valenzuela, who police say kicked an officer in the face during a bicycle theft investigation Oct. 26, pleaded guilty to attempt to commit an aggravated assault on a peace officer. He was sentenced to three years of probation.
