Federal authorities say a man wanted on multiple charges has been captured in Phoenix after barricading himself in a home.
U.S. Marshals Service officials say 47-year-old Elmer McFarland III was taken into custody after a brief struggle Wednesday night.
McFarland was wanted by Pima County authorities on a probation violation warrant for a previous conviction for transportation for prostitution and escape.
Authorities say McFarland now is facing new criminal charges for sexual exploitation of a minor out of Maricopa County.
The warrant for McFarland's arrest was issued in June and the U.S. Marshals Service had been pursuing him since July.
It was unclear Thursday if McFarland has a lawyer yet for his case.
