Tucson Police officers and members from the Tuscon Fire Department found a man dead while performing a welfare check around 9:40 p.m. Saturday night near 12th Avenue and Irvington.
Police say the man was laying on the sidewalk on W. Wyoming St. with obvious signs of gunshot trauma. They immediately gave the man first aid but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man has been identified as 48-year-old Gregory Campos.
TPD detectives are in the early stages of this homicide investigation and no suspects have been identified at this time.
