According to Tucson Unified School District, a man approached a child at a Vesey Elementary School bus stop Wednesday.
TUSD representative Michelle Valenzuela confirmed that a parent reported the incident to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
PCSD deputy Ryan Inglett said the call came in at 3 p.m. A thin, bald Hispanic man in his 50s drove up to a bus stop near Bullfinch and Shearwater in a grey, older model two-door vehicle with a black panel on the trunk.
The driver started talking to the boy, who ran home.
Deputies searched surrounding area and did not find the man. Detectives were notified.
The K-5 school is located at 5005 S. Butts Road.
School safety officers were at the bus stop Thursday morning and will be there this afternoon and tomorrow as well. School counselors are speaking to students about stranger danger issues.
