The FBI says a man accused of being the "Blues Bandit" and robbing eight banks in the Phoenix metro area since last October has been arrested.
They say 35-year-old Juan Rivera Jr. was taken into custody Thursday by Phoenix police and the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force.
In the robberies that occurred October 2016 and May 2017, a man wearing a suit, fedora-like hat and glasses displayed a note demanding money and threatened the use of a weapon.
The FBI say Rivera became a suspect after authorities discovered the identity of the owner of the vehicle used in the robberies.
Rivera has been charged in a criminal complaint.
It was unclear Friday if Rivera has a lawyer yet.
