With the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, now at it's 23rd day, the effects on furloughed employees are being felt financially.

To help with the struggle, a local Tucson Indian food restaurant, Saffron Indian Bistro, is offering free lunch to government employees impacted by the shutdown.

The restaurant is located at 7607 N Oracle Rd., and to receive the free lunch, the federal employee must show their ID to their waiter.

This deal goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 12 and on Sunday, January 13.
