TUCSON, Ariz. - As the Fourth of July approaches, you might start seeing more and more firework stands throughout different parts of Arizona, including in Tucson.

Arizona has certain restrictions in place when it comes to firework use throughout the year.

Monday, June 24 is the first day you can legally start using fireworks in the state leading up to July 4.

The last day you can legally use fireworks during the season is on July 6.

While some gear up to light fireworks at home, firefighters with the Rural Metro Fire Department encourage steering away from this altogether and instead enjoy a professional display.

Firefighters added a cooler and wetter winter brought about more grasses, which are now more susceptible to fires, something they are hoping everyone using fireworks realizes.
